Overview

The TRIFFT POS UI Extension allows merchants to seamlessly manage loyalty points in-store, enabling customers to redeem rewards directly at checkout. This guide provides detailed instructions on how to use the extension, including customer identification and reward redemption.

Enabling the POS UI Extension

  1. Open your Shopify Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to Sales Channels > Point of Sale.
  3. Ensure the TRIFFT Loyalty app is installed and enabled.
  4. Go to Apps within Shopify POS and activate the TRIFFT POS UI Extension.

How to Use the POS UI Extension

Step 1: Identifying the Customer

  • Customers can be identified in the POS system using one of the following:
    • Phone Number (if collected and stored in TRIFFT)
    • Email Address (if linked to their loyalty account)
    • Loyalty ID / Membership Number (Confirm with developers if applicable)

Step 2: Viewing Loyalty Points & Rewards

  1. Once the customer is identified, the TRIFFT POS UI will display:
    • Available loyalty points
    • Eligible rewards
    • Transaction history (if applicable)
  2. Staff can review the customer's points and assist with redemption.

Step 3: Redeeming Rewards

  1. Select the available reward the customer wishes to redeem.
  2. Apply the discount or benefit directly to the current order.
  3. Confirm the transaction, deducting points accordingly.
